There’s a lot more than potatoes in Idaho.  The Gem State offers everything from skiing to technology to an upscale clothing marketer.  Well, there are potatoes, but all those tubers mean jobs for those who qualify.  Well, check out what we’ve found and search for more jobs in the form at the bottom.

Who’s Hiring in Idaho?

• Micron — When one thinks of “Idaho chips” the first thing that comes to mind is potato, not silicon.  But Micron has been producing computer memory chips for a while now and needs talented employees to keep things going.  A quick check of their North America jobs page had over 50 openings in Idaho. They are based in Bosie, Idaho.
• Coldwater Creek — This Sandpoint, Idaho clothing marketer has about 300 stores in addition to its online and catalog sales.  They offer a rural location for a company that size, up in northern idaho, just a short way from the Canadian border.  So if you’re looking for quality employment and the great outdoors, this might be for you.  For the career page, go to their home page and click “Careers at Coldwater Creek” for more details.   As of this writing, they have positions open in Sandpoint and Coeur d’Alene.
• Idahoan — This Lewisville, Idaho food producer has a variety of (you guessed it) potato products for consumers and food service companies.  To find positions, go to their contact page and send in your resume.  They don’t currently have a careers page to list open positions.
• Idaho Power — As is the case with most states, utilities are a major employer in Idaho.  In this case, you can work for Idaho Power and not worry about burning a lot of coal or deal with nuclear power plants.  That’s because Idaho Power draws it’s current primarily from 17 hydroelectric facilities.  They are based in Boise. Check their careers page to see what they are hiring for now.
