Who’s Hiring in Colorado?

Colorado has a lot to offer. There’s the mountains, scenic views, skiing on one hand, but the big city of Denver, major universities, and lots of job possibilities that come with it. For those who wish to serve their country, there’s also multiple military bases and the Air Force Academy. Add it all up, and it’s a pretty complete package.

Who’s Hiring in Colorado?

Dish Network — You’ve probably heard of this Englewood, Colorado based company, or use it’s satellite TV service in your home. They have grown tremendously as one of the big competitors to cable TV in the past quarter century and that apparently means plenty of jobs. They had over 200 positions open in Colorado alone at the time of this writing. Check their careers page for current positions.
Great-West — This insurance and retirement company is based in Greenwood Village, Colorado, did about $2 billion in business in 2008 and has about 3,000 employees. They are currently hiring business analysts, IT help and retirement educators in Colorado. They’ve also been around for some 100 years, which says something about their stability. Lockheed Martin — Northrup Grumman was covered in our Who’s Hiring in California? segment, so it’s only fair for Lockheed Martin to get a chance here. Besides that, our search turned up over 200 jobs for this giant space and defense contractor in Colorado alone. Keep in mind that many of the positions call for a secret clearance from the US government due to the nature of the work, but there are those that don’t and some may offer a path to clearance for the right candidates. First Data — As the name implies, if you’ve got data, they can handle it, especially if you’re looking to conduct a secure electronic transaction.
